Safety Score

The GreenRoad Safety Score is an objective measurement of safety performance. It represents the frequency of a driver's risky events for every ten hours that they drive.

The GreenRoad Safety Score is calculated by counting the total of a driver’s/vehicle's Safety Events over the past 7 days, dividing the sum by the total number of driven hours, and then multiplying by 10 for a standardized score.

By default, the threshold for a green score is 20 events or less in 10 hours, the threshold for a yellow score is 21-50 events per 10 hours, and the threshold for a red score is more than 50 events per 10 hours. These thresholds can be adjusted under the Policy tab.
